The Morgan Dollar is one of the most popular American coins to collect. This version of the silver dollar was issued between 1878 and 1904.
The obverse (heads) side of the coin features Lady Liberty in profile, facing left. There are 13 stars along the sides and the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is inscribed at the bottom. The year 1881 is at the bottom.
The reverse (tails) side features a bald eagle with its wings spread. The eagle is holding a branch in its left talons and a bunch of arrows in its right talons. Around the edge are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR”. The words “IN GOD WE TRUST” are inscribed above the eagle.
