This silver coin was issued to celebrate the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. It was the first commemorative silver dollar minted since 1900.
The obverse, designed by Elizabeth Jones, shows a traditional Greek discus thrower. The three figures are used to represent motion. The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, shows a bald eagle.
This coin was minted in Philadelphia and was graded as MS70 by NGC.
