1990 P $10 Proof Gold Eagle NGC PF70 UCAM
In 1990 just 4 years after the American Gold Eagles initial release the United States Mint produced another ¼ fractional. The $10 piece is part of a 4-coin set that features 1 oz, ½ oz, ¼ oz, and 1/10 oz selections.
The design depicts Lady Liberty walking confidently against the sun’s rays, carrying a torch and an olive branch. The reverse of the coin shows a pristine male bald eagle in flight carrying an olive branch to his nest, where a female eagle and her young are perched.
This $10 1990 Proof Gold Eagle was lucky enough to receive the highly sought-after Ultra Cameo designation. Given only to coins whose shine is of a higher than average quality. This is seen in the frosted finish and highly polished fields of the coin.
