The largest rifle shooting contest in the world happens in Switzerland every year. The Swiss Shutzenfest began in 1824 and the Swiss government started minting shootingtalers to commemorate it in 1842. Each year, the Swiss Mint produces only 1,000 of these coins and less than 600 of those are graded.
The obverse of the 2020 Shootingtaler features the goddess Helvetia, the personification of the Swiss Confederacy, and a female figure representing Lucerrne holding a rifle. The reverse shows the face value of the coin with a pair of rifles below it and a wreath around it.
This 2021 Swiss Shootingtaler was graded as PF70 Ultra Cameo by NGC.
