CIT is honoring the connection between animals and their habitat with their latest Into the Wild series. First issued in 2021, the debut coin in this series is dedicated to the brown bear.
Struck by Germany's Mayer Mint using CIT's Smartminting© technology and released on behalf of Mongolia as legal tender, this beautiful Proof Silver Into the Wild Bear has a denomination of 1000 Togrog. Each coin was struck in an incredible Ultra High Relief finish from two full ounces of highly pure .999 fine silver. However, what makes this coin so special is the extremely deepened field in the shape of the bear's body that integrates a breathtaking colorized depiction of its natural habitat on the upper half of the body.
The reverse design displays an image of a bear strolling amid a serene lakeview surrounded by forested mountains. The background remains silver, but the bear itself is recessed and colorized to highlight the unspoiled landscape. There are several bear's pawprints in the foreground, the inscription "2021" can be seen in the center of one just below the bear.
On the obverse you will find the Mongol Bank's logo, flanked by vertical inscriptions in Mongol and the coin's face value below it. At the very bottom of the coin are inscriptions "MONGOLIA 2OZ .999 SILVER."
Each coin will arrive in GEM Proof condition, housed in an acrylic holder in its original mint packaging with the Certificate of Authenticity. In addition, this 2021 Mongolia 2oz Silver Proof Into the Wild Bear has been limited to a worldwide low mintage of just 999 pieces!
