The brand new Type-2 Silver American Eagle design. The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's classic Lady Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left.
The new reverse was designed by the artist Emily Damstra and sculpted by U.S. Mint Engraver Michael Gaudioso. It features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to it's nest. Also included in the reverse design are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "1 OZ FINE SILVER" and "ONE DOLLAR".
This coin is certified by NGC in perfect-strike MS70 and features a Gaudioso-signed flag label. It was minted in San Francisco.
