First issued in 2006, the Burnished American Silver Eagle is the lowest minted subset of the #1 collected coin in the world. Each Silver Eagle is struck from 1oz of .999 fine silver. The obverse design features a modern rendition of Adolph A. Weinman's classic Lady Liberty and the reverse features a heraldic eagle with a shield. The new Type 2 reverse was designed by Emily Damstra.
Burnished Silver Eagles are also known as Uncirculated by the U.S. Mint. They feature a W mint mark, and are sold to collectors. This 2022 $1 Burnished Silver Eagle has been certified MS70 First Day of Issue by NGC!
