The 2022 Silver Eagle is Here! A true numismatic heavyweight and American icon, the Silver Eagle is the most popular, most collected modern silver coin in the world! The classic Adolph Weinman Walking Liberty design remains featured on the obverse while the new reverse design Eagle Landing — designed by AIP artist Emily Damstra and engraved by U.S. Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso — marks its first year as the only Silver Eagle design struck by the U.S. Mint.
Inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2021.” The new reverse (tails) design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR."
This mint state 2022 Silver Eagle is certified MS70 by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) and slabbed with the NGC U.S Mint Engraver Series label hand-signed by engraver Michael Gaudioso.
