Continue your collection of Fiji Fractional Silver Eagles!
U.S. coin collectors get a chance to own Gold Eagles in 4 different sizes and denominations each year, but are only offered the Silver Eagles in the 1 oz format. The Fiji Mint has produced an incredibly popular set featuring the Type 1 Silver Eagle design of Adolph A. Weinman and John Mercanti. The world-wide release mintage was set at a low 20,000.
Similar to the American Gold Eagles, this set consists of silver coins struck in one-ounce, half-ounce, quarter-ounce, and tenth-ounce weights—all in pure 99.9% fine silver. They also feature the same traditional designs that graced the series from 1986 to 2021: Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty on the obverse and John Mercanti’s Heraldic Eagle on the reverse. The Fiji Coat of Arms appears as a small inset on the reverse next to the Eagle as these coins are all $1 legal tender in the South Pacific Ocean island nation of Fiji.
