First issued in 1986, the American Silver Eagle has become, far and away, the most collected modern silver coin in the world!

The classic Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman is still featured on the obverse of the 2023 American Silver Eagle. However, thanks to technological advancements in the design and minting process made in 2021, Liberty now encompasses some of Weinman's original details that were previously impossible! The design depicts Liberty in full stride, enveloped in the stars and stripes of the American flag, carrying branches of laurel and oak in her left hand, with her right extended out.

The new reverse was designed by artist Emily Damstra and sculpted by U.S. Mint Engraver Michael Gaudioso. It features an eagle approaching a landing, carrying an oak branch within its talons as if to add it to its nest. Also included in the reverse design are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR."

This option is a 2-coin set featuring the 2023-S $1 Proof Silver Eagle. Both coins in this set were struck in 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver at the San Francisco Mint and bear the "S" mint mark. The first coin in this duo comes in Advance Releases pedigree, certified by NGC in perfect-strike PF 70 Ultra Cameo with a Gaudioso Signed U.S. Mint Engraver Series Label. The second coin features an exclusive Damstra Signed Mint Designer Series Label and is certified by PCGS as Advanced Release in a flawless PF70 Deep Cameo finish.
