The Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar programs were relaunched in 2021 and were immediately popular with collectors. They symbolize two important eras in the development of the Nation. The Morgan Dollars represented the country’s westward expansion and industrial development in the late 19th century, while the Peace Dollars reflect a nation taking its place among major world powers. Together these coins vividly illustrate important periods in our Nation’s development.

The Morgan Silver Dollar obverse design features Liberty in profile. A cap, flora and a crown incused with the word “LIBERTY” adorn her head, while 13 stars, “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and the date of issuance encircle her. The reverse design depicts an eagle with outstretched wings clasping arrows and an olive branch, accompanied by a wreath. Reverse inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”

The Peace Silver Dollar obverses design also features Liberty in profile, wearing a radiant crown on her head, with the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," as well as the date of issuance encircling her. The reverse design depicts an eagle resting on an olive branch above the inscription "PEACE," with the other inscriptions reading "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "ONE DOLLAR."

The 2023-S Reverse Proof Morgan Dollar and the 2023-S Reverse Proof Peace Dollar are the first ever reverse proof Morgan and Peace Dollars to be produced by the U.S. Mint! Both coins bear the "S" mint mark and are struck by the San Francisco Mint in 0.858 troy ounces of .999 silver, with a mintage limited to just 250,000 for each coin. Each coin in this set is certified by NGC as Advance Releases REVERSE PF 70 and features the NGC Design label.
