Struck from 1 oz of .999 fine silver, the American Silver Eagle is the most collected modern silver coin in the world. The Uncirculated Silver Eagle, also known as the Burnished Silver Eagle, is the lowest minted annually issued Silver Eagle in the U.S. Mint's impressive line-up.
The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's classic Walking Liberty design, widely considered the most beautiful coin design in American history. Thanks to technological advancements in the design and minting process made in 2021, Liberty now encompasses some of Weinman's original details that were previously impossible! The design depicts Liberty in full stride, enveloped in the stars and stripes of the American flag, carrying branches of laurel and oak in her left hand, with her right extended.
The reverse, designed by artist Emily Damstra and sculpted by U.S. Mint Engraver Michael Gaudioso, features an American bald eagle preparing to land, clutching an oak branch within its talons as if to add it to its nest. Also included on the reverse are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR."
Minted at the esteemed West Point Mint, this 2024-W $1 Burnished Silver Eagle proudly bears the "W" mintmark on the coin's reverse. Each coin is certified by PCGS as First Strike and has received a flawless grade of SP70. Each coin is also encapsulated with PCGS's exclusive Struck at the West Point Mint Label.
