The United States Congressional coin was first struck on June 14, 1989 at a ceremony outside of the Capitol. It commemorates the Bicentennial of the U.S. Congress. The obverse design of the coin features a rendition of the Capitol Dome. The reverse of the coin features a portrait of the majestic eagle over looking the canopy in the Old Senate Chamber.

Each Master's Collection coin has been graded PCGS perfect 70 and holdered with the John Mercanti signature flag label in a unique colored slab signifying the Mint location at which the coin was struck.
