In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, the 2026 Reverse Proof Morgan and Peace Dollars introduce several historic firsts for the series.

They are the first Morgan and Peace Dollars struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a reverse proof finish, the first to feature a dual date, and both carry the Liberty Bell privy mark honoring the nation's Semiquincentennial.

Morgan & Peace Dollar Designs

The Morgan and Peace Dollars represent two of the most iconic designs in American coinage.

Morgan Dollar

  • Obverse — Liberty is depicted in profile wearing a cap adorned with cotton and wheat, symbols of the agricultural and industrial growth that defined America during the late 19th century. Designed by George T. Morgan, the portrait has become one of the most recognizable images in American numismatics.
  • Reverse — An eagle with outstretched wings holds an olive branch and arrows, symbolizing the nation’s desire for peace while remaining prepared to defend its freedom. Encircled by a wreath, the design reflects the confidence and growth of a rapidly expanding America.

Peace Dollar

  • Obverse — Designed by Anthony de Francisci, Liberty wears a radiant crown inspired by the Statue of Liberty, symbolizing hope, renewal, and optimism following World War I.
  • Reverse — An eagle rests peacefully upon a rock while clutching an olive branch. Deliberately different from the more aggressive eagles seen on earlier American coinage, the design reflects the nation’s aspirations for peace and stability.

Reverse Proof Finish

Struck in .999 fine silver, this set includes the first-ever reverse proof Morgan and Peace Dollars struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Previously produced at the San Francisco Mint, the reverse proof finish creates a dramatic contrast between mirrored design elements and frosted fields.
