2026 marks a significant milestone for America's hallmark silver coin. Not only does the American Silver Eagle celebrate its 40th anniversary, but the 2026 W Proof Silver Eagle receives a special dual-date design in honor of the United States' 250th anniversary.
The 1776-2026 W $1 Proof American Silver Eagle also features a Liberty Bell 250 Privy Mark to commemorate the nation's semiquincentennial. With a limited mintage of 500,000, this issue marks the first time an American Silver Eagle has ever been struck with a dual date.
Certified by NGC as Early Releases, each coin was submitted for grading within the first 30 days of the Mint's official release. Each coin comes slabbed with the Early Releases label and graded PF 70 ULTRA CAMEO, guaranteeing its flawless condition.
Introduced in 1986 under the Liberty Coin Act, the American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most collected silver coin in the world. Originally designed by John Mercanti and featuring Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty, the series symbolizes American craftsmanship and liberty. In 2021, the series underwent its first major redesign, featuring an enhanced obverse and a new reverse designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. This redesign also added advanced security features, ensuring the coin's lasting appeal and integrity for collectors worldwide.
