The 1776-2026 W $50 1 oz Enhanced Uncirculated American Gold Eagle is the first enhanced uncirculated coin in the series' history. Selective contrast across the design creates a layered visual effect not seen on prior issues.
Struck at the West Point Mint in 1 troy ounce of 22-karat gold, it bears a dual date and the Liberty Bell privy mark to commemorate America's 250th anniversary.
Each coin comes with the 1776 Freedom Display Case, designed to complement select releases honoring America's 250th anniversary.
Hand-signed by Jennie Norris, designer of the Type 2 Gold Eagle, featuring Coin Advisor's U.S. Mint Designer Series label.
Certified by NGC as a flawless MS 70, in Advance Releases pedigree—a distinction highly sought by collectors for its early availability and limited quantity.
Introduced in 1986 under the Gold Bullion Act of 1985, the American Gold Eagle is the official gold bullion coin of the United States, struck in 22-karat gold sourced from American mines. For 35 years, the series featured Saint-Gaudens' 1907 Double Eagle obverse, paired with Miley Frost (Busiek)'s Family of Eagles reverse.
In 2021, the series was redesigned, introducing an enhanced obverse and a striking new reverse designed by Jennie Norris, featuring a close-up eagle portrait with finely detailed feathers. Following the redesign, the American Gold Eagle remains one of the most iconic gold coins in the world.
