The 1776-2026 W $25 Burnished Palladium Eagle marks a first for the series, introducing a dual date and privy mark to the American Palladium Eagle series for the first time. Struck at West Point in one troy ounce of .9995 fine palladium, this special one-year issue bears a 1776 ~ 2026 dual date and the Liberty Bell "250" privy mark in honor of America's 250th anniversary. With a mintage limit of just 5,000, it combines two firsts for the series with one of the world's rarest precious metals.

Burnished Finish

The American Palladium Eagle rotates between finishes, with 2026 returning to the Burnished strike. Specially prepared planchets create smooth, satin-like surfaces that emphasize the coin's high-relief details. Compared with standard Mint State coins, the Burnished finish has a softer, more uniform appearance.

Coin Design

  • Obverse — Features a high-relief rendition of Adolph A. Weinman's Winged Liberty, originally created for the Mercury Dime in 1916. Liberty wears a winged cap symbolizing freedom of thought.
  • Reverse — Features a high-relief rendition of Weinman's 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse. A powerful eagle stands firmly on a rocky ledge, gripping a branch in its talons. With its wings partially raised and in bold relief, the eagle has a commanding presence.

Michael Gaudioso Signature

Featuring the exclusive 1776 Freedom Label hand-signed by U.S. Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso, engraver of the Type 2 American Silver Eagle.

Also included is the custom 1776 Freedom Display Case created for select Semiquincentennial releases.

Certification & Pedigree

Certified in flawless condition by NGC as MS70, this coin carries the Advance Releases designation, reserved for select coins made available before the U.S. Mint’s official public release.

American Palladium Eagle Series

Introduced in 2017, the American Palladium Eagle is the official palladium bullion coin of the United States, struck in one troy ounce of .9995 fine palladium and featuring two classic designs from Adolph A. Weinman. Palladium is one of the world's rarest precious metals, with much of its supply produced as a byproduct of mining other metals. The series is also unique in that it rotates between Proof, Reverse Proof, and Burnished finishes.
