This silver coin was issued as part of a 16 coin program to commemorate the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta, Georgia. In total, this coin program included eight silver dollars, four clad half dollars, and four $5 gold coins.
The obverse, designed by John Mercanti, shows two sprinters running towards a finish line. The reverse, designed by William Krawczewicz, shows two hands clasped under an Olympic torch.
This coin was minted in Denver and was graded as MS70 by NGC.
