$995.00

Issued for the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, this 2020 W $1 Proof Silver Eagle is among the most historically significant releases in the series. With a mintage of only 75,000, it is one of the rarest Silver Eagles. In honor of the Allied victory, this coin features the first-ever privy mark on a Silver Eagle!

Graded a perfect PF70 Ultra Cameo, this coin is encapsulated with an exclusive dual-signature label hand-signed by John Mercanti and Michael Gaudioso—two legendary U.S. Mint artists.

Coin Design

  • Obverse - Adolph A. Weinman's iconic "Walking Liberty" design, symbolizing freedom and progress. Lady Liberty strides toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag and holding branches of laurel and oak. The "V75" privy mark is located to the right of Lady Liberty.
  • Reverse - Designed by AIP Designer Emily Damstra and sculpted by Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso, featuring a majestic Bald Eagle preparing to land, clutching an oak branch within its talons as if to add it to its nest. The oak branch represents strength and endurance, adding a symbolic layer to the eagle's embodiment of freedom.

Special v75 Privy Mark

The v75 privy mark is a rare feature in American numismatics, symbolizing victory in World War II. The “V” stands for victory, while the shape of the privy is inspired by the Rainbow Pool at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Limited Edition Dual-Signature

Each coin comes slabbed with Coin Advisor's highly popular NGC Limited Edition U.S. Mint Engraver Series Dual-Signature label. This exclusive label is hand-signed by both John Mercanti, the 12th U.S. Mint Chief Engraver, and Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso.

American Silver Eagle Series

Introduced in 1986 under the Liberty Coin Act, the American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most collected silver coin in the world. Originally designed by John Mercanti and featuring Adolph A. Weinman's "Walking Liberty," the series symbolizes American craftsmanship and liberty. In 2021, it underwent a major redesign, featuring an enhanced obverse and a new reverse designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. This redesign also added advanced security features, ensuring the coin's lasting appeal and integrity for collectors worldwide.
