When the U.S. Mint — along with the rest of the country — went into an unprecedented lockdown, the Mint shut down its facilities. As a result, rare and sold out gold and silver coins were trapped within the Mint’s gift shops. While products were long sold out online due to decreased supply and increased demand, this small hoard was left sitting in their vaults. 

All until recently when the U.S. Mint reopened and offered the limited supply of coins once again. Our buyers swooped in and purchased this very limited quantity of ‘sold out’ coins, and worked with NGC to develop the special US Mint DC Releases pedigree.

These are so rare, there will only ever be 200 of these 3 coin sets signed by the engraver of the type 2 Silver Eagle, Michael Gaudioso! These sets will be gone within the week, possiblly in just a couple days. The three coins are the best of what 2021 had to offer for the brand new type 2 design. The set includes the W Burnished, the W Proof and the S Proof. All 3 low mintage sold out editions for the first year of the type 2 design making this collection extremely special!
