Coin Design

• Obverse - Lady Liberty, designed by French engraver Joaquin Jimenez, radiates strength and pride. Adorned with the Statue of Liberty's crown, she holds the American flag, surrounded by a constellation of stars embodying the unity of the states. An eagle soars beside her, symbolizing hope and freedom.
• Reverse - Oscar Roty's iconic Sower, reinterpreted by John Mercanti, stands before the French flag with a bowl of seeds. Wheat sprouting beside her represents France's cultural and economic influence as the fruit of her sowing. The "RF" acronym, meaning "République Française (French Republic)" is inscribed to the right of her gaze.

John Mercanti Signature

Each coin is sonically sealed in a secure holder with an exclusive US-France Flag label hand-signed by John Mercanti. As the 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint and designer of the Type 1 American Silver Eagle, Mercanti is a legend in modern numismatics. He is one of the most prolific designers in U.S. Mint history and the first U.S. Mint engraver to design a coin for a foreign mint.

Each coin is certified by NGC as First Day of Issue and is encapsulated in NGC's Black Core holder. NGC has also graded each coin as flawless under 5x magnification, receiving a perfect PF 70 ULTRA CAMEO grade.
