Coin Design
- Obverse – Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic “Walking Liberty” design, symbolizing freedom and progress. Lady Liberty strides toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag and holding laurel and oak branches. Thanks to advancements introduced in 2021, the obverse now includes original details previously impossible to capture. Weinman’s initials “AW” appear near Liberty’s heel, alongside inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2025.”
- Reverse – Designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso, the reverse depicts a bald eagle preparing to land with an oak branch in its talons, symbolizing strength and endurance. Surrounding inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “1 OZ FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
American Silver Eagle Series
Introduced in 1986 under the Liberty Coin Act, the American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most collected silver coin in the world. Originally designed by John Mercanti and featuring Weinman’s “Walking Liberty,” the series received its first major redesign in 2021 with an enhanced obverse and new reverse by Damstra and Gaudioso. The update also introduced advanced security features, ensuring lasting appeal for collectors worldwide.
