The 2025-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle marks a historic first for the series — the debut of a laser-engraved privy mark. This intricate design element, resembling a focused beam of light, commemorates the U.S. Mint’s adoption of advanced laser technology in master die production. The result is exceptional precision, enhanced security, and sharper detail than ever before.
Struck at the West Point Mint in .999 fine silver, this flawless proof displays frosted devices contrasted against deeply mirrored fields. Certified PR70 Deep Cameo (DCAM) by PCGS and designated Advanced Release, the coin is secured in the exclusive Mint Designer Series holder with a hand-signed label by Emily Damstra, designer of the Type 2 Silver Eagle reverse.
Advanced Release coins are among the first struck and distributed, representing no more than 10% of the total mintage, adding to their exclusivity.
Emily Damstra’s signature provides a direct connection to the artist who redefined the Silver Eagle’s reverse design in 2021.
Introduced in 1986 under the Liberty Coin Act, the American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most collected silver coin in the world. Originally designed by John Mercanti and featuring Weinman’s “Walking Liberty,” the series received its first major redesign in 2021 with an enhanced obverse and new reverse by Damstra and Gaudioso. The update also introduced advanced security features, ensuring lasting appeal for collectors worldwide.
