The 2025 S Reverse Proof Morgan and Peace Dollar 2-Coin Set brings together two of America's most iconic silver dollars. Each coin is struck in .999 fine silver at the San Francisco Mint and certified by NGC as Reverse PF 70 Early Releases. Both coins also feature a hand-signed David Ryder label, the U.S. Mint Director who helped bring these modern issues to life.

The Morgan Dollar represented the country’s westward expansion and industrial development in the late 19th century. Morgan Dollar
The Morgan Dollar is frequently cited as the most popular coin series within American numismatics. First struck in 1878, George T. Morgan designed it following the passage of the Bland-Allison Act, which revived silver dollar production in the United States. The coin symbolizes America's rapid industrial growth and westward expansion during the late 19th century. The series ended in 1921 but was revived in 2021 by the 1921 Silver Dollar Coin Anniversary Act to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its final minting. In 2023, the first-ever Reverse Proof Morgan Dollar was introduced.
Morgan Dollar Design
- Obverse - The obverse design features Liberty in profile, elegantly adorned with a flora-decorated cap, signifying the fertility and richness of American soil. Inscribed on her crown is the word "LIBERTY." Above her head reads the phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM." She is also surrounded by 13 stars, representing the 13 original colonies.
- Reverse - The reverse design depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, clasping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch. The eagle is a classic symbol of freedom, while the bundle of arrows and olive branch represents the nation's pursuit of peace and readiness to protect its liberties. The surrounding wreath enhances this patriotic message. The inscriptions read: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
Peace Dollar
The Peace Dollar, introduced in 1921, was designed by Anthony de Francisci to celebrate the end of World War I and symbolize America's hope for peace. The coin's creation marked a transition from war to peace, with Liberty's profile reflecting optimism and renewal. The series ended in 1935 but was revived in 2021 by the 1921 Silver Dollar Coin Anniversary Act to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the coin's first minting. In 2023, the first-ever Reverse Proof Peace Dollar was introduced alongside the Morgan Dollar.
Peace Dollar Design
- Obverse - The obverse design features Liberty in profile, modeled after de Francisci's wife. She is wearing a radiant crown that beams light, embodying hope for peace and renewal. The inscription "LIBERTY" is prominently featured, cresting over her head. The inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the date of issuance are also featured on the obverse.
- Reverse - The reverse design features a tranquil yet powerful image of an eagle resting on a rock, gazing off toward the horizon. Within its talons, the eagle clutches an olive branch, a long-standing symbol of peace. This depiction of the American eagle differs from more traditional images of an eagle in motion or an aggressive posture. The inscriptions read: "PEACE," "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "ONE DOLLAR."
David Ryder Signature
Each coin in this set comes hand-signed by David Ryder. As the U.S. Mint Director, Ryder was instrumental in reviving the Morgan and Peace Dollar series in 2021. His leadership was critical in guiding the program through development and production. In 2021, he was named one of Coin World's most influential figures in numismatics, and his signed labels are highly sought after by collectors.
