2025 S 50c Clad U.S. Marine Corps 250th Anniversary NGC PF70 UCAM First Day of Issue American Liberty Flag Label

The 2025 S 50c Clad U.S. Marine Corps 250th Anniversary commemorative half dollar marks 250 years of Marine Corps service to the United States. Struck at the San Francisco Mint in proof finish, it stands as the official federal tribute to that legacy.

Authorized by Congress, this commemorative honors a fighting force defined by discipline, sacrifice, and earned distinction. The proof strike’s mirrored fields and frosted devices add visual depth and gravity to a design rooted in national service and institutional identity.

Design

• Obverse — A Continental Marine stands with a musket alongside a modern Marine in full combat gear, visually united 1775 and 2025. The pair conveys a lasting continuity of duty, reinforced by the inscription 250 YEARS OF HONOR, COURAGE, AND COMMITMENT.
• Reverse — The Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem centers the design, symbolizing vigilance, worldwide service, and the Marine Corps' naval roots, reinforced by the motto THE FEW, THE PROUD.
