The American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most collected silver coin in the world. Struck in 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver at the renowned West Point Mint, the 2025 Silver Eagle carries on the series' legacy of exceptional craftsmanship. Renowned for its grace and beauty, the Silver Eagle is among the U.S. Mint's most popular annual releases.

Coin Design

  • Obverse - The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's iconic Walking Liberty design, symbolizing freedom and progress. Lady Liberty strides toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag and holding branches of laurel and oak. Weinman's initials "AW" can be found near Liberty's heal, below the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST." "LIBERTY" and the date of issuance are also inscribed on the obverse.
  • Reverse - The reverse, designed by AIP Designer Emily Damstra and sculpted by Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso, features a majestic Bald Eagle in flight, clutching an oak branch in its talons. This powerful design represents strength, endurance, and freedom. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR."

First Day of Issue

Each 2025 (W) $1 1 oz Silver Eagle comes graded as a flawless MS70 by PCGS. Certified as First Day of Issue, these coins are slabbed with PCGS's Struck at the West Point Mint label. The label also features an implied (W) mint mark, indicating that the coin was struck at the prestigious West Point Mint.

American Silver Eagle Series

Introduced in 1986 under the Liberty Coin Act, the American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most collected silver coin in the world. Originally designed by John Mercanti and featuring Adolph A. Weinman's "Walking Liberty," the series symbolizes American craftsmanship and liberty. In 2021, the series underwent a major redesign. It featured an enhanced version of Weinman's design and a new reverse designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. This redesign also added advanced security features, ensuring the coin's lasting appeal and integrity for collectors worldwide.
