The 2026 Congratulations Set Proof Silver Eagle stands as a key-date issue in the American Silver Eagle series as the first Congratulations Set struck at the Philadelphia Mint. It also features Coin Advisor's exclusive 1776 Freedom Label, created in tribute to the nation's Semiquincentennial and 250 years of American independence.
Traditionally associated with significant life milestones, the Congratulations Set pairs the timeless design of the American Silver Eagle with a special presentation. With a low mintage, timeless appeal, and first-ever Philadelphia strike, the 2026 Congratulations Set deserves a place in your collection.
Since 2013, the U.S. Mint has issued the limited-edition Congratulations Set, historically struck at the prestigious West Point Mint. However, the 2026 Congratulations Set features a Proof Silver Eagle struck at the Philadelphia Mint, bearing a "P" mint mark. This marks the first time that the Philadelphia Mint has issued the Congratulations Set.
Created exclusively for America's Semiquincentennial, the 1776 Freedom Label was developed in partnership with NGC to commemorate 250 years of American independence. Its design draws influence from the nation's founding, with subtle details that echo the defining era.
This one-year-only label is available exclusively from Coin Advisor and reserved for select 2026 U.S. Mint releases.
Each label is hand-signed by Michael Gaudioso, engraver of the Type 2 American Silver Eagle reverse. A former Medallic Artist at the U.S. Mint, he is known for his highly detailed and dynamic designs.
Each coin is certified by NGC as PF 70 Ultra Cameo and designated Advance Releases, NGC's premier pedigree for coins received prior to official release.
Introduced in 1986 under the Liberty Coin Act, the American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most collected silver coin in the world. Originally designed by John Mercanti and featuring Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty, the series symbolizes American craftsmanship and liberty.
In 2021, the series underwent its first major redesign, featuring an enhanced obverse and a new reverse designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. This redesign also added advanced security features, ensuring the coin's lasting appeal and integrity for collectors worldwide.
