Best of the Mint celebrates America's 250th anniversary with a collection that reimagines some of the most iconic designs in United States numismatic history.

Each release features a legendary American coin design struck in 24-karat gold alongside a silver companion medal featuring an original modern interpretation inspired by the original design. In honor of the Semiquincentennial, each gold coin bears the Liberty Bell privy mark.

Selected from 21 historic coin designs spanning America's history from the founding of the United States Mint in 1792 to the 21st century, Best of the Mint was shaped through a public poll and recommendations from curators at the Smithsonian's National Numismatic Collection.
